| Welcome to the Le Noury surname research page |
Purpose of this webpage:
My goal is to establish a family tree pertaining to my father specificaly and any other Le Noury's in the world as this is one of the more rare surnames of the English speaking countries. This information will be available free to all Le Noury's worldwide and their decendants and relations as I believe this is a Right under the Right to Information as specified in the UN bill of rights as well as in the constitution of my country, South Africa.
The contents of this site however is subject to COPYRIGHT, contact the authour for permission to use material on this site for commercial use.
While busy researching I have come to the conclusion that Le Noury's are very prominent in various fields of endeavour, during my search on the W3 I have come across IT personell, Directors of companys, Banking & finance, Law, Engineering, rock music etc. as being some of the fields. We seem to be a very technologicaly inclined bunch and not afraid to use the eletronic media. Also a few are doing very well in their sporting endeavours.

My Relationship to the surname Le Noury:
My father was born on Guernsey Island, 13/10/1928 as a baby Le Noury, when 18 months old he was "exported" as an adoptee to South Africa. His adopted parents were Sidney Herbert Crouch & Eileen Malloch Crouch (nee Brown). He was the youngest immigrant to arrive in 1929. As yet I have not been able to acertain who his Birth mother & father were. So as you can see I am a Crouch but in blood and spirit a Le Noury.

The current staus of my research:
The research to date is being documented on a database and will be avaialable as a series of files on request by bona fide researchers at a later date to be announced, I have a full time job as well so please bear with me.
Any additional information you may have will be very welcome as well as a word of encouragement.
I am also looking for an image of the family coat of arms if such a thing exists, I would like to display it on the top of this page on the right hand side of the heading.

Derivatives of the surname:
Some derivatives of the surname I have come across so far are:
Lenoury - a few in Australia dropped the space and made the surname one word. Sometimes this is also misspelt by contributors to articles on the web.
(We have named our daughter LeNoury in honour of my fathers birthname, also dropping the space but retaining the capital letter "N".)
Le Nourry - added a "r", Lenowry - dropped the space & "u" added a "w" and possibly Noury - dropped the "Le"prefix.
More on this subject as I do more research.

I have picked up quite a database of Le Noury's om the Internet to date, I am currently documenting this information and it will soon be avaialable as a file on request by bona fide researchers. Where possible I wil have the email adress as well. Postal and other adresses wil be treated as confidential unless permission is granted to publish or if already published on the W3.

Ian Le Noury of Geurnsey : Works for Millard & Co Ltd ,a Motorcycle shop, photo was posted on their staff web page.
There is even a slight family resemblance to us here in Bloemfontein.

Trust fund to be established:
I have a proposal to set up a Trust to enable members of the Le Noury family's to study and also to finance a non profit organization to help in research to establish the whereabouts of all Le Noury decendants worldwide. Help and advice wil be appreciated in this regard.
(This may just be a pipe dream at this point.)
This trust should preferably be based in the homeland of most Le Noury's i.e. Guernsey Island, also due to the expertise of this Island in this regard.
